This page sets out the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Subscription & Refund information for the web service “RUN LINK” (the “Service”) provided by Hiroki Kawakami, trading as Kuma Cloud(the “Operator”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

It has no user accounts, stores your data only in your browser, and does not transmit your personal information to our servers. This English version is provided for users in English-speaking regions; the Japanese version at /legal remains available.
1. Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern the relationship between the Operator and you (the “User”) in connection with the Service. You may use the Service only if you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. The Service; “AS IS / AS AVAILABLE”
The Service is a tool for creating invitation cards (images) for running events and similar activities. The Operator provides the Service “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, makes no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, usefulness, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. This clause is subject to Section 12 (Consumer Guarantees).
3. No account; stopping use
The Service does not require account registrationand can be used directly in your browser. You may stop using the Service (“cancel”) at any time simply by ceasing to use it. Data stored on your device can be deleted by you at any time using the Service’s history-deletion feature or by clearing your browser’s history and site data.
4. Eligibility & minors
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and the Operator does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a minor uses the Service, they must do so with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Minors must have parental consent and supervision, especially before meeting anyone in person.
5. Fees
The Service is currently offered free of chargefor its basic features. A paid subscription (“RUNLINK Pro”) is or may be offered; see Section 4 of this page (Subscription, Auto-Renewal & Refunds). Fees for paid features are non-refundable except as required by law.
6. Prohibited conduct
You must not, in connection with the Service:

- engage in conduct related to criminal activity, or improperly solicit or induce third parties;

- impersonate the Operator or any third party, or register or publish false information;
- engage in any other conduct the Operator reasonably deems inappropriate.
7. User content & your responsibility
The Service is only a tool for creating invitation material. You are solely responsible for hosting, organizing, participating in, and managing the safety of any events, meetups and interactions, and for all communications between participants. Rights in the text and content you enter remain yours, but you are solely responsible for that content. You must set meeting points in public places and must not publish private residences, exact addresses, or other information that could endanger you or others.
8. Intellectual property
Intellectual property rights in the Service and its design, logos, and programs belong to the Operator or the respective rightful owners. Rights in content you enter remain yours, and you are responsible for that content.
9. Data; no guarantee of retention
Data you enter or create in the Service is, in principle, stored only on your device(e.g. in your browser’s localStorage). The Operator does not store this data and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, is not responsible for any loss or corruption of data resulting from device operation, device failure, browser setting changes, or similar. Please back up important data yourself (for example, by saving the exported image).
10. Third-party services
The Service may be used together with external services such as Instagram or LINE, and with third-party services such as hosting. The providers of those external services are responsible for their content, defects, and changes to their terms, and the Operator is not responsible for them. Your use of each external service is subject to that service’s own terms. Instagram, LINE and similar names are trademarks of their respective owners, and the Operator is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service (including direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or loss or corruption of data).
Where the Operator is liable despite the above, its total aggregate liability is limited solely to the amount you actually paid for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability (and is US$0 / A$0 where you use the Service for free).
Nothing in this Section limits liability for the Operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This Section is subject to Section 12.
12. Consumer guarantees (Australia, Canada & other mandatory law)
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, Canadian consumer protection legislation, or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Where such a law implies a guarantee or grants a right that cannot be excluded, and the Service fails to meet it, our liability is, to the extent the law allows us to limit it, limited to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied. Any provision of these Terms applies only to the extent it does not contravene such laws.
13. Suspension, changes & termination
The Operator may change the content of the Service, or suspend or terminate its provision, without prior notice to Users. To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to Section 12, the Operator is not liable for any damage caused to Users or third parties as a result.
14. Changes to these Terms
The Operator may amend these Terms. Amended Terms take effect when displayed on the Service or on this page, and apply to use of the Service thereafter. For material changes, the Operator will provide notice by reasonable means.
15. Governing law, venue & disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court that has jurisdiction over the operator's location as the court of first instance. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-law rights, or of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, where the applicable law of your country cannot lawfully be excluded. The Operator does not currently require arbitration or a class-action waiver.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms, or part of one, is held invalid or unenforceable under applicable consumer or other law, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

2. Privacy Policy
Our approach
The Operator respects your privacy to the fullest extent. The Service is built on a “does-not-collect” design: we do not collect personal information; all of your data stays on your device.
What we collect
The Service stores the content you enter and the cards you create only on your device (in your browser’s localStorage). This information is not sent to or accumulated on the Operator’s servers. We do not collect your name, email address, GPS location, or other personal information. Any nickname or Instagram/LINE handle you type into a member card is likewise stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us.
We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not collect or sell personal information, we do not provide a “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” link and honoring a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is not required.
Cookies, analytics & advertising
We do not use tracking cookies, individual-level analytics tools, or advertising tags to identify or track you. (See “Anonymous usage analytics & promo codes” below for the one, narrow exception: fully anonymous, aggregate event counts with no per-user identifier.)
Anonymous usage analytics & promo codes
The Service uses a small shared operations backend (Supabase) for three narrow purposes, and for these only:
- Anonymous usage events — event names only (e.g. "app opened," "card created"), with no personal data and none of your card or form content.
- Pro open-period check — once per app start, the Service checks whether Pro features are currently free during a limited open period. No user-identifying data is sent.
- Promo/invite code verification — if you enter a code (for example via a `?promo=` link), only that code string is sent, to check whether it is valid.
Payments: RevenueCat & Stripe
In connection with payment for “RUNLINK Pro” (the paid tier), the Service uses the following payment-related third parties. The Service does not yet offer paid billing on the web or in the iOS app (it is in preparation); the transmissions below only occur once paid billing is turned on.
- RevenueCat (iOS in-app purchase management) — once in-app purchases are enabled on iOS, a purchaser-identifying ID and transaction details (product ID, purchase date, etc.) are sent to RevenueCat. We do not send your name or email address. The SDK key that enables this is not currently configured, so no such transmission occurs today.
- Stripe (web payment) — once web billing launches, checkout (via a Stripe Payment Link) will send payment details you enter, such as your email address and card information, to Stripe. This information is not stored on our servers.
Third parties & sub-processors
The card/form content described above (what you type, the cards you create) is never sent to any server; it stays on your device. Separately, the anonymous analytics events, Pro open-period check, and promo-code verification described above are processed by our infrastructure provider (Supabase), and payment data (once billing is enabled) is processed by RevenueCat and Stripe as described in the previous article — each acting as a limited-purpose sub-processor for that specific data only. We do not share your personal information with third parties beyond what is described here.
International data transfer
Because your card/form content never leaves your device, there is no cross-border transfer of your personal information by us. The anonymous, non-personal analytics/verification data described above may be processed on infrastructure located outside your country; as it contains no personal information, this does not constitute a cross-border transfer of your personal data. Once paid billing is enabled, the payment data described in “Payments: RevenueCat & Stripe” above will be processed by RevenueCat and/or Stripe, which may involve a cross-border transfer of that payment data; this does not apply today because paid billing has not launched.
Data retention & your rights (access, correction, deletion)
Your data is retained only on your device. You can access, correct, and delete it yourself at any timeusing the Service’s history-deletion feature or by clearing your browser’s history and site data. Because we do not hold your personal information, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete on our side.
Sharing to external services
When you share a card image to Instagram, LINE, or another service, you do so yourself, and the handling of information in that case is governed by each external service’s privacy policy.
Photo backgrounds & accent color (Pro)
The Pro photo-background feature processes images you select entirely on your device; photos are never sent to any external server. During processing, images are resized (long edge to 1440px) and re-encoded as JPEG (quality 0.8), which automatically removes EXIF metadata (location, capture time, camera model, etc.). The Pro accent-color feature only uses the color code you choose to style the card on your device; it is never sent externally.
Saving images to your Photos library (iOS app)
In the iOS app, saving a card image adds it to your device’s Photos library. This uses an “add only” permission(you are asked to grant it once); the app cannot read your existing photos. Saving happens entirely on your device and the image is never sent to an external server. On the web version, saving uses your browser’s standard download feature instead.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently done so, we will delete it.

3. Disclaimer & Safety Notice
Health & exercise disclaimer
The Service is for creating invitation material for running and similar activities and does not provide medical or health advice. Exercise at your own judgment and risk. If you have any health concerns, consult a physician or other qualified professional.
Safety notice (please read)
Cards you create may contain event information and may be shared with strangers. For your safety and that of others:
- set meeting points in public places (parks, station squares, etc.);
- do not post home addresses, exact addresses, or private locations;
- take extra care when running alone or at night;
- you are solely responsible for events, meetups, and interactions with other people;
- minors must have parental consent and supervision, especially before meeting anyone in person.
Member cards are export-only (no in-app matching)
Member cards are never shown to other users inside the app, and the Service has no in-app messaging or matching feature. A member card exists only on your device; the only way it reaches anyone else is when you export it as an image and choose to share it (for example, to an Instagram Story). The Service does not host a directory of members, does not connect users to each other, and does not send your card to anyone on your behalf. You decide what to share, with whom, and through which external service, and you are responsible for those choices.
Accuracy of information
The Operator does not warrant the accuracy or timeliness of the Service or any information displayed in it.
4. Subscription, Auto-Renewal & Refunds
Free basics + RUNLINK Pro
The Service provides its basic features (event-card creation, 15 themes, saving, history, etc.) free of charge. “RUNLINK Pro” is an optional paid subscription with additional features.
Pricing
Pricing for RUNLINK Pro in your region will be shown to you before you subscribe. (Pricing in Japan is currently ¥300 per month; pricing for North America and Australia is coming soon.)
Auto-renewal disclosure
RUNLINK Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Before you subscribe, the price, billing period, and the fact that it renews automatically will be clearly disclosed. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period.
How to cancel
iOS:purchases and renewals are handled by the App Store. You can cancel at any time from App Store settings → “Subscriptions” → “RUNLINK” before the next billing date. Cancellation stops future charges; there is no pro-rated refund for the current period.
Web: a web payment and cancellation method is in preparation. When web billing is offered, cancellation will be available online through the same method used to subscribe.
Web: a web payment and cancellation method is in preparation. When web billing is offered, cancellation will be available online through the same method used to subscribe.
Refunds
Because of the nature of digital services, fees are non-refundable after the service has been provided, except where required by law or by the applicable app-store policy. Cancellation stops future charges. For purchases made through the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple.
App-store terms
Where the Service is sold through a platform (App Store / Google Play), that platform’s disclosures and terms also apply. Web-based payment (see “How to cancel” above) is not yet offered; until it launches, this section describes the App Store channel only.
Minors & paid purchases
If a minor makes a purchase of “RUNLINK Pro,” they must first obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian (see Section 1, Article 4). Purchases made by a minor without such consent may be voidable under applicable law. To request cancellation on that basis, please contact us with the purchaser’s (or guardian’s) name, the purchase date, and what was purchased.
